POSITION SUMMARY

Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) is a non-profit organization committed to facilitating safe disposal programs (stemming from Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) related regulatory requirements) for unwanted medications and used medical sharps, on behalf of its member pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The Bilingual Manager, Promotions and Communications is responsible for executing a wide range of communications functions and works collaboratively with the HPSA Team.

The role supports developing and implementing a multi-faceted communications plan, which includes message and campaign development, web presence, and social media to educate members of the public and HPSA stakeholders on the take-back programs.

This position directly reports to the CEO, of HPSA and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on public health and the environment.

DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General
  • Executes a marketing and outreach strategy that aligns with HPSA’s strategic plan and maximizes exposure for HPSA’s
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with external design/marketing agencies in the implementation of a communications strategy for the stewardship
  • Develops and manages RFPs and agency relationships.
  • Establishes and manages relationships with Members with regard to enhancing communication objectives for both HPSA and Member companies.
  • Executes comprehensive communications plans and provincial market strategies, with a focus on awareness building – ensuring plans meet KPIs, regulatory requirements and
  • Participates in the development of the communications Direct P&L responsibility for the Communications Division
  • Plans and organizes conference attendance and sponsorship opportunities to increase HPSA’s visibility
Stakeholders Communication
  • Oversees the development and updating of general brochures, key messages, fact sheets, and related marketing
  • Produces bi-yearly newsletters for pharmacies about program updates and company
  • Drafts and professionally formats Members’ Consolidated Annual Reports and Member
  • Drafts and professionally formats Annual Provincial Reports, ensuring close collaboration with the HPSA
  • Manages a Stakeholder communications strategy.
Social Media
  • Implements and evaluates a social media marketing strategy that includes all major social media platforms as

  • Update and maintain the website, ensuring key pages and sections stay true to “HPSA’s voice”.
  • Employ strategies to increase the company’s reach and visibility with the public, such as search engine optimization and Google

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • Fully bilingual in English and French is required.
  • Qualified candidates will be achievement-oriented team player
  • Competence in the use of business office and group collaboration tools is also essential.

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCES/SKILLS

  • Superb written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Comfortable working with change and building the business case from the ground up
