POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Associate, Programs (Atlantic/East) at HPSA supports stakeholder engagement, performs program analytics to support program development, implementation, and performance monitoring, and collaborates with team members across all functions to continuously improve program delivery. Specifically, this role includes service providers and vendors relationship management and government reporting. The Senior Associate reports to the Director, Stewardship Programs (Atlantic/East).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the successful development, implementation, and ongoing management of product stewardship programs in Quebec and the Atlantic including administration and operations
  • Liaise, and build relationships with various stakeholders including government relations, industry members and associations, third-party auditors and service providers and any regional/provincial committees
  • Support the Director in regulatory filing, internal reporting (Develops quarterly and annual program reports), and compliance
  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform business decisions and assess program performance, develop strategies, and find synergies for continuous improvement of program operations and performance
  • Proactively seek feedback from partners, trends, challenges and develop effective solutions and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate and communicate with all functions and teams within HPSA
  • Performs site visits and in-person meetings from time to time
  • Actively participate in HPSA cross-functional projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education in administration, business-related discipline, environmental studies, sustainability, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Program environment (program or project manager, program coordinator).
  • Direct experience in stakeholder relations, waste management/ producer responsibility organization and stewardship would be an asset.
  • Superior organizational skills: detail-oriented, good planning skills, excellent time management, working with deadlines.
  • Skilled multi-tasker, able to manage competing needs.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages (clear, concise, technical, and professional).
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, ability to build strong relationships and confident public speaker.
  • Ability to travel from time to time.
